In addition to the local issues, we hope to discuss democracy and the importance of it.   If you were fortunate enough to grow up in the United States, it is easy to take democracy for granted.  Democracy is fundamental to Western governments.  Propositions 401 and 402 are a matter of debate at the local level.  We hope that all who are against or in favor of them can agree that democracy and voter rights are essential.   That requires we discuss democracy.  You can learn more about the importance of democracy in this post.

Why Democracy Matters

Voting at the local level is much more than just “who gets elected.”  It is “what gets spent.”  Are you willing to let others make that choice?  We should discuss democracy.

de Tocqueville stated:

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.

Your money requires your vote.

Please get in touch with us to have us speak to your group.  Thank you.
