An Open Forum to Discuss Democracy and the Issues.

Transparent Payson Board Members will speak about voters’ rights, the current issues facing Propositions 401 and 402, and the pending litigation at the Conservative Coalition of Arizona (CCAZ) meeting.   The CCAZ is comprised of independent and conservative-minded citizens advocating for constitutional principles.  Visit their website to learn more about the Conservative Coalition of Arizona (CCAZ).

Conservative Coalition of Arizona (CCAZ)Transparent Payson is nonpartisan/bipartisan with no party affiliation or hidden agenda.  We believe in Payson, Arizona, and its future.   We support growth that will better serve all its citizens while remaining financially sound.  As a 527 nonprofit PAC, we were responsible for successfully enacting Propositions 401 and 402 in 2018.   A short history of our group can be found here.

The meeting is Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260 in Payson.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and as always, no-host food and drink are available at Tiny’s.  The program starts at 6:00 p.m.. To learn more about CCAZ, their email is CCAZGila@Gmail.com

In addition to the local issues, we hope to discuss democracy and the importance of it.   If you were fortunate enough to grow up in the United States, it is easy to take democracy for granted.  Democracy is fundamental to Western governments.  Propositions 401 and 402 are a matter of debate at the local level.  We hope that all who are against or in favor of them can agree that democracy and voter rights are essential.   That requires we discuss democracy.  You can learn more about the importance of democracy in this post.

Why Democracy Matters

Voting at the local level is much more than just “who gets elected.”  It is “what gets spent.”  Are you willing to let others make that choice?  We should discuss democracy.

de Tocqueville stated:

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.

Your money requires your vote.

Please get in touch with us to have us speak to your group.  Thank you.
